Your community. Connected to your services.

Extend TeAlaOla beyond your team with a branded multilingual app that gives people, whānau and aiga a simple way to discover, connect and participate.

In the app

Six things a person can do for themselves

Everything here belongs to the community member, on their own phone, in their own time.

Discover

Explore services, programmes and community opportunities — everything your organisation offers, in one place a person can browse for themselves.

Participate

Join programmes, view sessions, complete consent and forms. The steps that used to need a phone call or a printed page happen on the phone.

Stay connected

Receive reminders, provider updates and in-app messages, so nobody misses a session because word never reached them.

My plan

View personalised plans, goals and contribute to progress — a plan becomes something a person holds, not something written about them.

My community

Access resources, information and relevant provider content, chosen by your organisation for the people it walks alongside.

My language

Use the experience in English, te reo Māori, gagana Sāmoa or lea faka-Tonga — whichever language a person is most comfortable in.

Branding

Your organisation. Your community. Your app.

It is your app, not ours with your logo dropped in the corner. It arrives wearing your organisation’s name and colours, offers your services and programmes, and speaks in the words your community already uses.

Your name and your colours

The app looks like your organisation on the phone in someone’s hand, not like a product they have never heard of.

Your services, in your words

Your programmes, your services and the terminology your organisation uses for them.

Your community and languages

The content that matters to the people you walk alongside, in the languages your community reads.

Branding, content and languages are settings rather than code, so a change reaches everyone without waiting on an app-store release.

Languages

The language someone is most comfortable in

TeAlaOla registers four languages, and a community member chooses which one they read the app in. That choice belongs to the person — not to the office, and not to whatever the phone happens to be set to.

  • English

    Registered — awaiting translation

Being straight about where this stands: alongside the English base, te reo Māori and gagana Sāmoa carry wording in the platform dictionary today. Lea faka-Tonga is registered and selectable and is waiting for a translator — the app says so plainly on screen rather than guessing at words nobody has written. Each language is treated on its own terms, and wording is written and reviewed by people before it reaches anyone.
